Welcome!
I am Jana Gorst.
A woman, a mother, a death doula, and, last but not least,
a healthcare professional.
Supporting People at the End of Life
With compassion, calm, and deep respect,
I accompany people who are dying,
as well as their loved ones, through one of life's most profound and meaningful journeys.
Bringing Together
Clinical Experience
and Compassionate Care
As a healthcare professional and death doula,
I combine clinical experience in palliative care
with personalised emotional and spiritual support, offering compassionate guidance tailored to each individual's needs.
Opening the Conversation About Life, Death, and Grief
Through one-to-one support, courses, workshops, and education, I help create a more open
and compassionate understanding of death
as a natural part of life.

Why is there a bee in my logo?
My logo represents a concept I brought with me from the United Kingdom.
I see myself as the queen bee, and the people I support—or teach to support others—are like the worker bees within a hive. Everyone who chooses this path becomes an essential part of something greater than themselves.
The bee is a symbol of life—without bees, none of us would be here.
The golden colour represents the golden nectar that nourishes us all. It also symbolizes our final journey, reminding us that the way we die affects not only ourselves, but also the generations before us and those yet to come.
The honeycomb represents the connections between individuals, organizations, and communities united by a shared purpose: bringing more humanity, compassion, and dignity to the care of people at the end of life.
A bee sting is painful, yet it also carries healing properties. In the same way, death and trauma bring profound pain, but when we are able to understand and integrate these experiences, they can become powerful sources of healing and transformation.

Contact me
Pain is something we can never fully prepare for, but we can learn to meet it with acceptance, support, understanding, and without judgment.
I support people who are dying, their loved ones, those who are grieving,
healthcare professionals, and organisations through life's most challenging moments,
offering compassionate guidance, practical advice, education, and emotional support.
